Auditory crowned Australia’s best coffee

Queensland’s specialty coffee scene has once again proven its world-class quality, with our “Auditory” blend, a locally grown and roasted coffee, taking out the Champion medal at the prestigious 2025 Royal Sydney Fine Food Show.

Grown in Mareeba, North Queensland and roasted by the Coffee Mentality roasting team, Auditory stood out among entries from across Australia, winning the title of Australia’s best coffee in one of the country’s most respected industry competitions.

In addition to this major accolade, Coffee Mentality Auditory also earned four bronze medals at the 2025 Golden Bean Awards, the world’s largest coffee roasting competition, this time, against the best beans around the world.  

Thia recognition further solidifies Australia’s potential to be a serious coffee origin amid fears of green bean shortage worldwide.

With Brisbane Olympics on the horizon, this will even propel Aussie specialty coffee to world standards . 

“We’re not just growing coffee — we’re growing an industry,” this is about putting Queensland on the global coffee map.”

Coffee Mentality is also working with Queensland researchers to develop a coffee hybrid genome best suited to Queensland’s agro climatic conditions.
